CORE Clinic, Breathing & Stability: Feb 3
The goals of the clinic are to help athletes improve form during movements, have better control of breathing, decrease stress, decrease risk for injury, improve back pain symptoms, and strengthen the diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles (decrease urinary incontinence). We will spend time practicing proper breathing techniques as well as discussing the benefits of proper breathing. We will also learn about proper abdominal bracing and how important it is in everything we do in and out of the gym. In addition we will be practicing many exercises to improve abdominal and hip strength/stability. Strengthening of our "core" is important both inside and outside of the gym.
